Some Updates!
Yup, Its been over a month since my last blog post. What have I been up to during that time?
Well, the Heroes programme has kind of come to an end. The Heroes programme was an incredible journey and I met some really talented people. The workshops conducted by industry professionals were quite helpful and I hope to use the tips in my academic and professional career. Our team could not make it to the enxt round, but I hope to attend the workshops this week that help the qualifying teams (and those attending) to think out their ideas better.
I am currently a connector with the First Year Connect programme at UNSW, helping the students transition to the new environment, and enhansing their overall experience at UNSW.
I went surfing last weekend- my first experience with the sport and I loved it! Guess I am finally into sports huh? Managed to stand up on the board for a couple of seconds before gulping salt water by the end of the weekend trip, which was an achievement. I could barely stand on the board on the first day!
I am working on this installation for Vivid Sydney Festival, which will take place beginning at the end of May this year. Currently working on some renders and helping out the sound team. Pretty excited for this one as I got into this because of a friend I made during the Heroes programme.
French was a language that I wanted to learn for a while. I have Duolingo app installed and was listening to Coffee Break French podcast until the first few weeks of July last year. So to push myself, I have joined the French society. They have weekly language learning sessions.
Finally, I am currently working on a gamw with a few people I met at UNSW Game Development Society. We are working on an interesting idea that we hope to transform into a fully functional game. I’ll keep posting updates on that one.
So that’s all for now. I guess the volunteering is not much as it was last semester, but it’s pretty difficult since I am trying to do other stuff that I wanted to do.
